An offender has now been sentenced for racially abusing Callum Wilson.

This follows an incident back in November 2022.

Callum Wilson out in Qatar playing for England at the World Cup finals, coming off the bench to replace Harry Kane against Iran.

The Newcastle United and England star getting racially abused on Twitter/X because he passed the ball to a white teammate instead of scoring himself.

Ibukun Quadri was 19 when he called Callum Wilson a racially derogatory term, for setting up Jack Grealish to score in the 6-2 victory over Iran.

Last month (April 2024), Quadri (now 21) of Crayford, South East London, admitted to Westminster JPs ‘sending a communication conveying an offensive message.’

He had told police officers that the previous four scorers had been black and if Newcastle’s Callum Wilson had scored “it would have been a great achievement for black people,”

Now the offender has been sentenced to 200 hours community service.

Court News UK report – 8 May 2024:

‘A student who racially abused England striker Callum Wilson on ‘X’ because he passed the ball to a white teammate instead of scoring himself was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.

Ibukun Quadri, 21, posted during England’s 2022 FIFA World Cup opener with Iran on 21 November 2022.

Quadri was 19 when he sent the message to Wilson.’
