Seth Rollins might not have made the final cut of Captain America: Brave New World due to reshoots, but he left a great impression on the director.
Marvel Studios Captain America: Brave New World director Julius Onah recently to Steve Weintraub of Collider. When asked about Seth Rollins’ part being cut from the film, Onah said that even though he was cut, he’d work with him again in a heartbeat.
“In terms of the Seth Rollins of it all, he was a character that was just going to feature in the opening of the movie. Seth is amazing,” Julius Onah said. “Incredible. I would work with him again in a heartbeat, but as we were iterating on the movie, it was very clear that some of the tonal things that we were playing with with the original iteration of Serpent Society had to fit even more closely in the mold with the rest of the movie.”
This isn’t the first time a WWE Superstar has been cut from a Marvel Studios project. Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch was cut from a post-credits scene of The Eternals. This was reportedly due to the scene being too depressing for the movie to end on.
