CEOVikas Raj urges everyone to exercise their right to vote

State Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj emphasized the importance of voting during the launch of a 2K run to raise awareness about voter education and literacy in India. The run started at Botanical Gardens, Kondapur, with participants holding placards with slogans supporting voting.

Participants from various sections of society, including officers, senior citizens, youth, and members of different associations, enthusiastically joined the run. Vikas Raj highlighted the significance of exercising the right to vote in a democracy and urged people to vote voluntarily without being influenced by any inducements.

With 3.3 crore voters in the State, Vikas Raj stressed that not utilizing the right to vote would result in wasted votes. He encouraged youngsters aged 18 years to register in the voter list and emphasized the importance of reporting violations of the election code through the cVIGIL app.

Hyderabad district Election Officer Ronald Rose emphasized the power of the ballot in shaping the country’s future. He expressed concern over the low voter turnout in Hyderabad and urged people to check their voter registration status before the upcoming elections.

Ranga Reddy district collector Shashank urged voters in the Serilingampally constituency to fulfill their social responsibility by participating in the electoral process. He assured that all necessary facilities would be provided at polling centers and encouraged people to use the voter Helpline app to verify their details.

The event was attended by officials such as Ranga Reddy additional collector Pratibha Singh and Serilingampally GHMC zonal commissioner Sneha Sabarish, among others.
