The Champions League unveiled its new formula this Thursday. While the knockout phase system should not change too much, the groups no longer exist. From now on, there will be only one regular season phase where the 36 teams will be ranked from first to 36th place after eight matches. With this new deal, the French clubs learned which teams they would face during this regular season. Inevitably, with even more experienced teams, PSG, LOSC, Monaco and Brest were not spared by the draw.
The capital club is surely the least spoiled French representative of this edition. Facing several big names like Manchester City, Bayern Munich or Atlético de Madrid, the Parisian club will also play against dangerous teams such as PSV or Girona. For its part, AS Monaco will start immediately with a tough match, hosting Barça for the first day.
