Charlize Theron Latest Addition To A-List Ensemble Of Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie Universal

Charlize Theron is set to join the cast of Christopher Nolan’s next film at Universal. He joins a cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o.

The film will have an Imax release on July 17, 2026. The date falls in line with a number of Nolan films that have had similar release dates in the past, most recently his Oscar Best Picture winner Oppenheimer last year.

Universal had no comment on the casting of Pattinson.

The movie is expected to start shooting in early 2025, but sources note that loglines or descriptions of the film that have been published to date are wrong, with details being kept under wraps.

Nolan is always one to mix up his ensembles with talent he has worked with before and new actors to the Nolan universe with Theron falling under that category as this will mark the first time she has worked with the director.

Theron is about to start production on the survival thriller Apex at Netflix oppsosite Taron Egerton.
