CITU State Vice President Bhupal has called for the celebration of International Labor Day, also known as May Day. Speaking at a meeting held in Shadnagar, Bhupal emphasized the significance of May Day in advancing the struggle of the global working class against capitalist exploiters and for labor rights.
Bhupal highlighted the historical importance of May Day, citing the sacrifices made by the working class worldwide to achieve an 8-hour working day and secure their rights. However, he criticized the current government, alleging that under the Narendra Modi administration, the rights of the working class have been neglected in favor of appeasing foreign investors.

He expressed concern that the rights of the working class in India are being eroded, with the government making changes to labor laws and undermining key regulations such as the Minimum Wages Act, Provident Fund (PF), and Employee State Insurance (ESI). Bhupal accused the BJP government of attempting to divide the working class along caste and religious lines, thereby weakening the values of secularism and democracy in the country.
Bhupal called for unity among the working class to protect labor laws and rights, prepare for large-scale struggles against divisive forces, and sensitize workers in Rangareddy district. He urged workers to commemorate May Day widely and prepare for upcoming struggles to safeguard their interests.
