Claudio Castagnoli is set to compete at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty.
During the NJPW World Tag League event on November 24, AEW’s Claudio Castagnoli appeared in a video message. He revealed that he was the emissary that Jon Moxley was sending to face Shota Umino at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.
At NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley appeared in a video message and said that he would send an emissary to face Umino after Shota questioned his methods.
Castagnoli previously competed at NJPW Dominion 2023. There, he teamed up with Moxley and Umino to face Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, and Hiroshi Tanahashi. He also teamed up with Umino at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023.
Claudio Castagnoli is currently part of Moxley’s Death Riders stable in AEW. He is one-third of the AEW World Trios Champions.
