CM Punk doesn’t think his match with Seth Rollins is the end of their rivalry.

The Best in the World bested the former Shield member in the main event of Raw’s debut on Netflix. Following the bout, CM Punk declared for the Royal Rumble match, seemingly putting his beef with Seth Rollins on the back burner.

However, it doesn’t sound like this rivalry is anywhere close to finished.

CM Punk appeared on Nightcap before Raw’s debut on Netflix and his match against Seth Rollins.

He revealed that he’d love for the feud with Rollins to be done after their match on Raw, but sees their feud being one that never ends, like Hulk Hogan’s battles with Randy Savage.

“I would love to say that I’m moving on to bigger and better things. I would love to be wrong about that, too. This is one of those Hulk Hogan-Randy Savage deals that is going to go on for as long as the beef has already been festering.”

“Ten-plus years, we’re talking a decade here. I don’t think, even as big of a night, debuting on Netflix, and no matter how bright the lights are, this one is going to fester for a while.”

He then sent a message for Seth Rollins and his fans, telling them “there’s always next year” and to “cry about it”.

CM Punk ‘Cried For About 8 Minutes’ After Tricep Injury

CM Punk cried for ‘about eight minutes’ after suffering a tricep injury last year.

The former WWE Champion made his long-awaited return to the WWE at Survivor Series 2023. He went on to make his debut in the 2024 Royal Rumble match, finishing second behind the winner and current WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.

Sadly, CM Punk suffered an injury during that match. He tore his tricep, which kept him out for over six months. He wouldn’t return to the ring until his clash with Drew McIntyre at Summerslam 2024.

“I think this one was pretty bad, just because of, you know, my age and everything. I tore my right tricep tendon completely off the bone, and that’s a bad one. Especially in football, I think that’s normally a career-ender, if I’m not mistaken. My season definitely ended that day, that’s for certain.”

“I had a night where I went, ‘Woe is me,’ and I cried about it.” CM Punk said. “I was upset. I had just come back to WWE after 10 years of being gone and was looking forward to doing, you know, just awesome, awesome stuff. And then it all came to a screeching halt.”

“As an athlete, as somebody who’s active every day—you guys know—if you can’t play, if you can’t do what you do, if you can’t go to the gym, you lose your mind. And man, I lost my mind. I felt bad about it for about eight minutes, had a cry, and then realized that, at that moment, it felt like the worst thing that had ever happened to me.”
