CM Punk gets candid about Dominik Mysterio.
In today’s landscape, there is arguably no bigger heat magnet than WWE‘s Dominik Mysterio. Every week, the Judgment Day member finds himself drowned out by a sea of boos from the WWE Universe. According to former WWE Champion CM Punk, it’s rightfully deserved.
“I don’t encourage this, but I’m shocked that people don’t throw rotten fruit at [Dominik] or at least toilet paper because he’s the sh**s,” Punk told Good Guy / Bad Guy.
“Listen, that mustache is a choice. That haircut is a choice. His stupidity is a choice, you know what I mean? He could read a book, he could learn how to read, he could be a better wrestler. He can learn how to run the ropes. He’s terrible and if it’s because his dad is terrible, well the apple don’t fall far from the tree. Everything about that kid [is] rotten to the core. He’s got a nice sister, though.”
Widespread repulsion for Dominik Mysterio began in September 2022, when he betrayed his father Rey Mysterio and WWE Hall of Famer Edge. In doing so, Dominik also pledged his allegiance to The Judgment Day, one of WWE’s villainous stables. Since then, Dominik has remained a regular fixture in the Judgement Day, which now also includes Liv Morgan, whom he helped defeat Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam 2024.
Following his return to WWE in late 2023, Punk faced Dominik in a pair of live event matches, and “The Second City Saint” emerged victorious.
