CM Punk said that Drew McIntyre would never be a champion again as long as he was around, and at WWE Money in the Bank, he stuck to his word.

During tonight’s match between Damian Priest and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, McIntyre cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase he had just hours earlier. In a now Triple Threat Match, McIntyre looked prime to win after hitting a Claymore on Priest, but out came Punk, completely ambushing McIntyre and sending him out of the ring and over the security barricade.

Punk then laid into McIntyre with multiple chair shots, choking him with cables, and finally getting him back into the ring before hitting him with the actual World Heavyweight Championship. This let Priest end things with a South of Heaven for the win. After the match, a dejected McIntyre could only lay there as Rollins — who now couldn’t challenge for the title again until Priest loses it — screamed at Punk for his interference.
