Cody Rhodes has been on a roll since his return to the WWE at WrestleMania 38. He has already accomplished a lot and established himself as one of the top babyfaces in the company.
Within the past year, Cody has gone from winning the Royal Rumble to main eventing WrestleMania 39. If that wasn’t enough, he beat Brock Lesnar in their epic encounter last year and won back-to-back Royal Rumbles.
On the 1/29 episode of WWE RAW, Cody Rhodes addressed the WWE Universe following his historic win at the Royal Rumble. However, he was confronted by Seth Rollins who asked him to challenge him at WrestleMania. While Cody didn’t give a definitive answer, he told Rollins he would think about it.
Cody Rhodes has since taken to social media to announce that he will be a WWE SmackDown on 2/2. He didn’t go into specifics about the reason behind his appearance.
“I’ll be at #Smackdown this Friday”
While he didn’t specify why he is showing up on SmackDown, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to think that it might have something to do with Roman Reigns. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live play-by-play coverage of WWE SmackDown.
