Come On Over? How WWE Views Daniel Garcia Following Return To AEW TV

Not quite. There are several talented wrestlers in the world today and just because they work for a wrestling promotion does not mean that someone else is not keeping an eye on them. This can lead to some interesting situations when a wrestler jumps to another promotion, or even if they are only considering it. That is what we had been seeing, but now things might be wrapping up.

Last weekend at AEW All In, Daniel Garcia made a surprise return, helping Will Ospreay defeat Maxwell Jacob Friedman to win the America’s Title. This came after Friedman had attacked Garcia several weeks ago and helped set up a match between the two of them next weekend at All Out. It also comes amid speculation that Garcia, whose current deal is believed to expire in October, is receiving interesting from both AEW and WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, those in WWE are currently of the believe that Garcia will be staying with AEW, though this is not guaranteed.

Opinion: While it would seem like there is still a chance that Garcia could go elsewhere, it does not appear to be likely now that he has already returned to AEW TV and been put in a prominent role. I’m not sure I can imagine Garcia jumping over to WWE at this point, but it would not be the best look for AEW if that is where things go. AEW has invested quite a bit in Garcia and maybe he does jump, though right now it isn’t looking likely.
