The Rock has officially joined the corporate ranks of WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings. His happiness in sitting at the table built by his family lineage attracted a message from the ruthless MMA Fighter, Conor McGregor.
Conor McGregor has been one of the biggest names in UFC, which is also under the TKO umbrella. Moreover, the Notorious One has always kept one eye on the wrestling world, often engaging in verbal altercations with WWE superstars on social media.
However, this time it was a completely different affair. The former UFC champion took to his Instagram to send his wishes for The Rock on joining the TKO Board of Directors, looking to be delighted by the announcement.
“Amazing! Huge Congrats Rock.”
While The People’s Champion sits at the helm of important corporate decisions, it seems that his involvement will be beyond the board room on the road to WrestleMania 40.
As seen on this week’s SmackDown, The Rock made surprise return to confront his cousin, the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. This was right after Cody Rhodes decided to go after Reigns and his title, but not at this year’s Show of Shows.
With the crowd erupting on seeing these two mega stars at the same time, it seems the road to WrestleMania 40 will culminate with, perhaps, the biggest main event in the show’s history with The Rock and Roman Reigns battling it out in an iconic dream showdown.
