Quarterback Dak Prescott was asked about his reaction to his head coach, Mike McCarthy, getting let go by the Dallas Cowboys this week after they couldn’t reach an agreement on his new contract.

Journalist Clarence Hill of ALL DLLS texted the 31-year-old NFL quarterback and published his response.

When asked how he felt, Dak reportedly texted, “Bummed, because we built some things. But I guess they couldn’t reach an agreement. SMH.” If you don’t know, “SMH” is short for “shaking my head.”

“It’s the business. I look forward to the future plan,” he allegedly continued.

Dak also apparently said that he takes “responsibility for our team being in this position.” Dak got injured in the November 3 regular season game, and has not played since. The Cowboys did not make the NFL playoffs this year.
