Dakota Johnson's Mother Melanie Griffith Played a Huge Part in Embarrassing Her In Front of Barack Obama

Dakota Johnson met former president Barack Obama during his presidency while she was with her mother. As most moms do though, she managed to embarrass Dakota, even in front of the President.

The 34-year-old actress remembers her mother introducing her to the former president around the time that The Social Network came out.

Dakota recalls her mother’s conversation with the former commander-in-chief, “”He was talking to her and she goes, ‘Oh, Mr. President, this is my daughter. She just did a movie. She’s an actress, too.’”

Seeing as Dakota’s mother is Academy Award-nominated actress, Melanie Griffith, it was no surprise that she was excited about her daughter following in her footsteps. The surprising part came as she continued to dive into Dakota’s role in David Fincher’s critically acclaimed film.

“‘She was in The Social Network, she’s in her underwear.’” Dakota explained, eyes going wide at the mere memory of what was said.

After her mother said that, all Dakota could remember while chuckling was that, “I died. I died inside.”

Recently, Dakota also opened up about filming the same scene with Justin Timberlake over and over. Find out more!
