Damian Priest is the new World Heavyweight Champion.

WrestleMania 40 Night Two kicked off with Seth Rollins defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Elimination Chamber winner Drew McIntyre. Meanwhile, CM Punk was on commentary.

After multiple Claymore Kicks and nearfalls, McIntyre was able to hit one final Claymore for the three-count on Rollins. This marked McIntyre’s third World Championship win in WWE, but his first in front of a crowd at WrestleMania.

After, McIntyre presented his title to his wife in the front row before he sat on top of the announce desk in front of Punk and shared words. McIntyre did the “suck it” motion, which prompted Punk to trip the new champion. Punk then ripped his arm brace off and struck McIntyre with it before kicking him repeatedly.

With McIntyre down, Damian Priest ran down to the ring and declared he was cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. Priest sent McIntyre into the ring where he hit the South of Heaven chokeslam and pinned him to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

This is Priest’s first world championship in WWE. He is now the second person ever in WWE to cash in their Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania.
