At WrestleMania 40, history was made by Damian Priest as he became the second Puerto Rican to hold the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He is the first in the past 50 years. Wrestling legend, the late Pedro Morales was the first Puerto Rican WWE World Champion.
Ever since capturing the top prize on WWE’s Monday Night Raw, Priest has been doing a lot of media. In one such media event, Priest was asked about his interest in pursuing an acting role.
While speaking on the Rob Brown Show, Damian Priest shared his thoughts about pursuing an acting career. Priest also mentioned that being a WWE Superstar is something he had wanted to do throughout his life. Thus, he cannot leave his current gig.
“Like anybody else, it’d be fun. Yes and no. Yes, in the sense of, I wouldn’t mind doing it. It’s something that, who doesn’t want to be a movie star? Having fun with that and creating something new. At my core, I’m a WWE superstar. This is all I’ve ever wanted to do with my life. While I could do something like that, I just can’t see myself not doing my gig now full-time,” Damian Preist said. Damian Priest recently accepted Drew McIntyre’s challenge to a world title match. The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion will wrestle each other for the gold. While an official date has not been announced yet, it is rumored that the match will take place at WWE Clash at The Castle on June 15th.
