Darby Allin says he nearly broke his neck during a controversial spot on AEW Dynamite.

On the January 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, Allin and Sting faced Powerhouse Hobbs and Konosuke Takeshita. In one memorable moment, Hobbs and Takeshita threw Allin across the ring, and he landed hard in the corner. Sting and Allin went on to win the match.

Speaking on KSDK, Darby Allin promoted the January 20 episode of AEW Collision and brought up the spot.

“The thing with AEW is, you can expect the unexpected, and I mean that. I’m not trying to sell anything,” Darby Allin said. “But every week, there’s some crazy shenanigans going on. Last week, I almost broke my neck. This week, we’ve got so much crazy stuff. It’s something different every week. We don’t play it safe.”

When asked whether he gets nervous for risky spots, Allin said, “I never get nervous because I embrace going to the hospital. I live at the hospital, pretty much.”

Allin will face Jeff Hardy on the January 19 episode of AEW Rampage. Check out the card here.

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Rampage as it airs on January 19.
