The Dutch defender from Bayern Munich will most likely be joining a new XXL club this summer.

After Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus and Bayern Munich, all winners of the Champions League, Matthew de Ligt is preparing to sign a five-year contract with another major club on the European scene, also a multiple winner of the C1.

According to Sky Sportsthe English Manchester United (Premier League) and their German counterparts Bayern (Bundesliga) reached an agreement on the 25-year-old Dutch defender on August 12. At the Red Devils, Matthijs de Ligt would be reunited with his compatriot Erik ten Hag. The Mancunian manager coached De Ligt at Ajax between December 2017 and June 2019.

Manchester United would pay around 50 million euros (including bonuses) to secure the services of the right-hander with 45 caps for the Oranje.
