Deco interested in bringing Man Utd winger to Barcelona but there is one big problem

As of now, no club has made a formal bid for Sancho. There is speculation that some teams might be waiting to see if he becomes available on loan, a scenario that could work in their favour.

Meanwhile, Deco is closely monitoring this situation, recognising that the England international could be an attractive option for the club, especially if a loan deal becomes feasible.

However, the major stumbling block remains Sancho’s hefty salary, which Barcelona would need to cover in full if they were to bring him on board. Despite the financial challenges, the possibility of acquiring the versatile English player is still being considered at Barcelona.

Troubling times at Man United

Sancho’s time at Old Trafford has been marked by limited playing opportunities, leading to questions about his future with the club. Barcelona’s interest, meanwhile, comes at a time when his future at Manchester United seems uncertain.

His last appearance was in the Community Shield final against Manchester City on August 10, where he was brought on as a substitute in the 83rd minute, replacing Marcus Rashford.

In the first match of the 2024-25 Premier League season against Fulham, he wasn’t even included in the squad.

For Barcelona, securing Sancho could be a strategic move, particularly if they can negotiate favourable terms, but the financial implications of his salary remain a significant obstacle.
