Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the biggest anime franchises in history, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what’s next for Tanjiro and company! Following the final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc in Japan (also known as Season 4 on Netflix), the series’ official accounts revealed that a Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie trilogy will be released instead, adapting the final arc of the popular manga series into anime. Keep reading to find out more… There will not be a Season 5 in the TV show, but rather a trilogy of theatrical movies to conclude the series. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have acquired the trilogy of movies for a global theatrical release, excluding select Asian territories and Japan. No release date has been confirmed yet. However, an official trailer for Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle was released on June 30! As Games Radar notes, the anime hasn’t skipped a single year since its debut, which strongly suggests that at least the first movie will arrive in 2025. Demon Slayer Infinity Castle will likely adapt the Final Battle portion of the manga, which consists of the Infinity Castle arc (chapters 137-183) and the Sunrise Countdown arc (chapters 184-205). Here’s a plot summary for the overall series: “It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a ‘demon slayer’ so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.” Here is the expected voice cast set to return, via Games Radar: Natsuki Hanae – Tanjiro Find out what the 10 most popular anime TV shows are, ranked.
