During an interview with News18, Saswata Chatterjee who played the antagonist in the movie revealed that Deepika Padukone was pregnant in real life. She shot the challenging climax scene when she was pregnant. Moreover, he even told her husband and father-to-be Ranveer Singh to not worry about it. He said in the interview, “Deepika is just ever-smiling. There is a scene in the film where I drag her by the hair. It was part of the last leg of the shoot and was shot in Mumbai because Deepika was pregnant by then. There was a lot of physical tussle in the scene, so I told Ranveer, don’t worry, for more physically challenging scenes, there’s a body double. He was so polite and humble. He smiled and said, I know, Dada.”
In the movie, Deepika sported a short hairdo and a minimal makeup look. She exuded a raw and powerful energy that stands out in the film. This departure from her usual glamorous and polished looks has sparked a wave of admiration and curiosity among her followers.
