The Anambra State Police Command has deployed newly passed-out police recruits who underwent rigorous training at the Police College, to various police divisions across the state.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Ikioye Orutugu, in a statement made available to journalists in Awka, on Tuesday, by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, urged the new recruits to be disciplined and follow the Nigeria Police Act and Regulations, as well as other federal laws.
While addressing the new police recruits at the parade ground, Orutugu urged them to carry out their primary duties with courage, integrity, honesty, professionalism, and respect for human rights.
Orutugu said their posting was to bolster the policing service delivery and the Command’s capacity to respond effectively to security challenges across the state.
“To bolster the policing service delivery and the command’s capacity to respond effectively to security challenges in the state, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu, today February 11, 2025, deployed the newly passed-out recruits to various Police Divisions in the State.
“The CP, while charging the Officers to show courage and be professional in carrying out their duties, assures the residents of improved policing services and a safer environment going forward,” the statement added.
