Donald Glover Cancels Childish Gambino Tour After Hospitalization: “I Have Surgery Scheduled & Need Time To Out To Heal”

Donald Glover has canceled the remaining dates of his Childish Gambino 2024 tour in North America and Europe.

The news that Glover will not be able to continue with his performances comes after he announced in September that he was postponing the tour to focus on his health.

“After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent,” Glover shared in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “After being assesed, it became clear i would not perform that night, and after more tests, i could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked. As of now I have surgery scheduled and need time out to heal.

Glover, who goes by his stage name Childish Gambino, continued, “My path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously. With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

The Community alum added, “I want nothing more than to bring this show to the fans and perform. Until then, thanks for love, privacy, and support.”

Glover didn’t disclose his health concerns, but on September 9, he announced he was postponing his tour dates after falling ill. At the time, the actor seemed hopeful that the dates would be rescheduled.
