Donovan Dijak says WWE did not wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Dijak entered free agency on June 28, as WWE opted not to renew his contract. He was drafted to WWE RAW in April, but he never appeared on the red brand.
Speaking on Respect The Craft, Donovan Dijak discussed his WWE departure and noted that he had not received official word that his contract was not being renewed.
“I was not wished good luck in what comes next, by the way [laughs]. I was not told in any official capacity that this was ever happening, I still haven’t been told in any official capacity,” Donovan Dijak said. “The only word I ever got was because my representation, which is Paragon Talent Group, I was talking with Mojo [Rawley], we were on our second or third round of reaching out to WWE to try to elicit some sort of negotiation, response or answer. He reached out for the third time, and then he gave me a call and said that he just spoke to [talent relations], and they told him that they won’t be renewing my contract.
“So I guess legally, that’s probably enough. I don’t even know if legally, they have to notify me at all. But I wanted to talk to people, and they did not want to talk to me. I was very disappointed with that decision. I bent over backwards for them constantly, and I never got as much a text message or a phone call that is what was happening, and here’s an explanation as to why. That’s very discouraging and disappointing.”
