Known for his kindness and generosity towards the less fortunate, the benefactor Drake has once again made a name for himself by saving the football club, Venezia FC, from bankruptcy. Back in Serie A this season, the Italian club remained in serious financial trouble due to relegation to Serie B in 2022.

To avoid another fall, this time to Serie D, the management had to find funds quickly. The club’s owner, Brad Katsuyama, then asked for help from Matty Babel, a member of Drake’s staff and director of the famous Canadian rapper’s NOCTA brand. The latter helped raise $40 million (around €36 million) from North American investors to pay the salaries of the staff.
