Dustin Rhodes wants to do something big at AEW All In: Texas.
On November 1, Fightful Select reported that Rhodes’ AEW contract expired, but the two sides were still in talks. Rhodes currently holds the ROH World Tag Team Championship and the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
Speaking with WFAA, Dustin Rhodes was asked about AEW All In: Texas, and he said that he hopes to be a huge part of it.
“I have some goals in mind,” Rhodes said. “It’s a build to get there, so I’m gonna keep that kind of to myself. But I hope to be a huge part of All In: Texas. This is our first US stadium show, which is gonna be huge.
“I’m hoping that I have something really big on this pay-per-view. It should be very cool, being from Texas. I’m sure Tony will make that happen.”
Dustin Rhodes On His Future
During the interview, Rhodes was asked whether his “last ride” would continue up up to AEW All In:
“It is funny, it has been this one last ride that has lasted five years,” Dustin Rhodes said. “I don’t know how long it’s gonna continue, but I don’t see any end in sight right now, which is pretty cool.
“It’s an ever-evolving business and you got be able to change on the fly and continue your rise or wherever you’re going and have that end goal. I don’t see an end in sight for me quite yet. Sting was a big inspiration for that because I was a huge fan of his. To watch him go til he was 60 or 62 was amazing, and it’s very inspirational. So it gives me some hope that I can still go a little bit longer.”
