Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji

The management of Marketing Edge Magazine and organisers of the newly rebranded EDGE Awards has named the Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, as ‘Outstanding Governor of the Year for Inclusive Leadership and Grassroots Development’.

The annual award ceremony will be held in Lagos on Saturday.

According to the organisers of the award, Oyebanji, who will mark his two years in office in October, was unanimously voted for the coveted category by the team of assessors and editorial board, who painstakingly evaluated the governor’s approach to governance, development and leadership alongside other governors in Nigeria.

A statement from the Editor-in-Chief of the Marketing Journal, John Ajayi, noted that the award was presented to the governor in recognition of his esteemed political credentials as a respected technocrat and public servant.

“He has positively impacted the state through commendable projects and policies while promoting peace and unity among leaders from diverse backgrounds,” he stated.

The management of Marketing Edge Magazine praised Oyebanji for his exceptional performance as Ekiti State governor, noting his inclusive governance and transformative infrastructure projects that promoted grassroots development.

“In the last two years running, Governor Oyebanji distinguished himself through exemplary continuing and result-oriented, transformative turnaround in the infrastructural landscape of the state.

“Your Excellency parades a record that is already speaking for itself and is being applauded, recognised and celebrated across Nigeria and beyond over the years,” it added.

Other eminent Nigerians like Chief Oluwole Olanipekun, SAN, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State Governor and top industry leaders and captains of Industries are billed to attend the event.
