The immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has spoken on the ongoing probe of his administration by Governor Uba Sani.
The Kaduna State House of Assembly indicted El-Rufai and several of his aides for allegedly siphoning over N423 billion from the state’s resources between 2015 and 2023.
In response to these allegations, El-Rufai, during a Sallah gathering with his associates, expressed his lack of concern regarding the probe, suggesting that Uba Sani’s administration may not succeed. He advised his associates to refrain from engaging in verbal conflicts with the Governor’s aides and predicted that Sani would eventually lose his position.
“Support the governor and his cabinet members with prayers for them to do the right thing. Don’t feel hurt with what’s going on. When he is done prancing, he will fall off like candy in a kid’s hand,” El-Rufai stated.
This reaction comes amidst heightened scrutiny and political tension in Kaduna State following the Assembly’s indictment.
