The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed unwavering solidarity with Governor Uba Sani.
The party lauded his transparency in disclosing the state’s debt profile inherited from the previous government led by Nasir El-Rufai. It said that Sani’s action also showcased his dedication to accountable governance.
In a statement released by the Kaduna State APC publicity secretary, Salisu Tanko Wusono, on Tuesday in Kaduna, the party extolled Governor Sani’s commitment to an open and inclusive leadership style, exemplified by the diverse representation at the State of Kaduna Town Hall convened last Saturday.
Wusono remarked, “The event provided a platform for discussing the state’s challenges, progress, and plans, reflecting the administration’s dedication to citizen engagement.”
The APC further commended Governor Sani for recent initiatives aimed at mitigating economic challenges and fostering development in Kaduna State, citing grants to 7,500 SMEs, support for 5,000 farmers, cash transfers, and food distribution to vulnerable households as significant strides.
“Governor Uba Sani’s update on security affairs during the Town Hall, including the establishment of more Forward Operation Bases, instills hope for a safer future,” the party emphasized.
Addressing recent infractions against the APC constitution, the party affirmed the indefinite suspension of its State women leader, Hajiya Maryam Suleman, popularly known as Mai Rusau, underscoring its commitment to maintaining discipline and integrity within its ranks.
“APC Kaduna reiterates its steadfast support for the Uba Sani administration and urges the Governor to remain focused amidst distractions from detractors,” the statement concluded.
Recall that Gov Sani also faced opposition from one of El-Rufai’s sons, Bashir El-RUFAI, who knocked him for calling out his father over the state’s debt.
