Emilia Perez‘s Karla Sofia Gascon has been skipping all awards season shows and events after her controversial tweets resurfaced, however, it’s being reported that she’s attending the 2025 Academy Awards. She is nominated for Best Actress. Even more interesting, Netflix has reportedly agreed to finance her attendance. If you don’t recall, the streamer pulled back their support of Karla amid awards season, and they also stopped paying for her accommodations to attend events. The Oscars will air live on ABC and stream live on Hulu on Sunday (March 2) at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, with the official live red carpet show airing at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
