Having failed to establish himself in the first team, Sancho fell out with Ten Hag, leading to him being banished from the squad following a bitter dispute.

With the 23-year-old not featuring for Man United since the end of August, the decision was made to allow the player to leave on loan this month.

His former club Borussia Dortmund won the race to sign him on loan, with that deal confirmed on Thursday and the player declaring he felt like he was 'home'.

While the media hoped that Ten Hag would offer more of an explanation on Sancho's circumstances, the Red Devils boss instead offered a somewhat short response to questions.

"I hope he's doing well and he'll be a success."

Probed further on the loan move, Ten Hag added: "I replied, I think it's enough."

Sancho joined United in 2021 for a fee in the region of £73million, but his move to Old Trafford has not been a successful one.
