Three Ligue 1 matches and two Coupe de France matches: this will be Ethan Mbappé’s record in the colours of PSG, a record that will not stretch any further. Having arrived in the suitcases of his big brother Kylian in the summer of 2017, the midfielder will have done all his classes in Paris, from the U13s to the professionals this season, before now making his way to Lille. Relations having clearly cooled between the Mbappé clan and PSG, the signing of Ethan Mbappé’s first professional contract with PSG had come to a halt in recent months.

In mid-May, we revealed to you that LOSC was interested in the little brother of the star of the French team. 4th in Ligue 1 last season, the northern club has the ambition to return to the Champions League, and to do so, it will have to go through a preliminary round in August, before a possible play-off a few days later. Lille president Olivier Létang had insisted on the club’s desire to rely on the best young players. A desire shared by Bruno Génésio, who will therefore be able to count on Ethan Mbappé.

Ethan Mbappé has his own story to write

This Thursday, LOSC made official the free arrival of Ethan Mbappé, some images of whom had already been leaked in the jersey of the northern club. The player born in 2006 signed his first professional contract there, for a period of three years. “Ethan, put on your new armor and fly the LOSC colors high, welcome home”the Lille club also indicates on its social networks.

With the possible departure of Benjamin André, mentioned on the Saudi Arabian side, and the uncertainty surrounding Angel Gomes, Ignacio Miramon, Nabil Bentaleb or Rémy Cabella, Ethan Mbappé will have the opportunity to shine right from the preparation. It should be noted that his arrival is the result of a desire from Olivier Létang, who greatly appreciates the personality and profile of the midfielder.
