Manchester City are set to battle Real Madrid for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala in 2025.
The Germany international has been linked with a possible move away from the Bundesliga giants, with Los Blancos the favourites to sign him. Musiala’s current contract with the Bavarian club expires in June 2026, but he is yet to enter formal negotiations over a renewal.
Bayern Munich boss Max Eberl confirmed last week that the club were hoping to secure a renewal for their star winger, but admitted a deal could be difficult. Musiala is said to be unconvinced of his ability to win the Champions League, with a move to Madrid or Manchester offering a better potential chance.
City and Real in a duel
According to the latest update from Teamtalk.com, City are set to face Real Madrid, despite a potential asking price of £100million for the 21-year-old.
Both teams have the financial muscle to launch a bid, but Real Madrid’s striker options could necessitate a sale to fit Musiala into their plans.
