Elias was one of the biggest cases of WWE simply not knowing what to do with a particular talent. He was released from WWE last year and now his first post-WWE match has been confirmed.
Ringside News exclusively reported that there was a widespread belief within WWE that Elias’ Ezekiel storyline had a detrimental impact on his career in the company. Unfortunately, he couldn’t recover from it, leading to his eventual release.
Elias would then unveil his name after his WWE release, which turned out to be Elijah. Wrestling REVOLVER announced that Elijah is slated to make his debut at the Whatashow event in Grand Prairie, Texas, on February 17th.
It was announced that Elijah would be squaring off against indie darling ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey, who has a track record of having incredible matches quite often. This marks Elijah’s first match after his WWE release.
”[BREAKING] Signed for 2/17 #RevolverWHAT”
”@TheEpicGP – Grand Prairie, TX LIVE on”
”@FiteTV+ *FIRST TIME EVER* Speedball Mike Bailey Vs. ELIJAH!”
We will have to wait and see how Elijah will fare in his first match following his WWE release. By the looks of it, the former WWE Superstar is more than determined to show the world what he is truly capable of.
