WWE released several Superstars last year, and Jinder Mahal’s cut surprised lot of people. Since then, Mahal has already picked up a title on the indies, and he has been a bit more open about his time in WWE.

In recent memory, Jinder Mahal revealed how WWE told him that he was no longer an active in-ring talent during the end of his run as he was managing Indus Sher. He received lot better booking under Vince McMahon’s leadership, a point that he made very clear.

Jinder Mahal has been active on the independent wrestling scene since his 90-day non-compete clause with WWE expired in July. Dhesi has been working for various independent promotions while engaging in a feud with Effy in GCW.

In a recent interview with Bill Apter, the former WWE Champion was asked about the possibility of appearing in AEW. He didn’t shut down the idea at all, although he hasn’t spoken to any company at this point.

“I haven’t talked to any major company yet. I am on the independents and working GCW. I have a bunch of other independent dates lined up. In the past two years, I haven’t wrestled that much, maybe ten matches, which is not what I’m used to. I want to get back in the mix, get my legs back, get used to bumping again. Get acclimated and get in ring shape again. Then, we’ll go from there. Anything is possible. I would love to go to TNA, AEW, New Japan, anywhere. Even just the independents. I’m having a great time picking my own schedule, spending time with family.”

Dhesi recently competed at GCW Homecoming, teaming with The Bollywood Boyz to face 1 Called Manders, Dark Sheik and Effy. He continues to do his thing on the indies, but he’s not closing any door at this point.

Jinder Mahal is only 38-years-old, and pro wrestlers are having much longer careers now than they ever did before, as they can perform at a peak level thanks to so many advancements. Jinder will not be hindered, and he is also taking great care of himself to maintain that physique.

Only time will tell if Jinder Mahal makes a WWE return, but Tony Khan can always give him a call if he is needed. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more.
