FC Barcelona puts spokes in PSG’s wheels

FC Barcelona no longer knows where to turn. Launched in the final sprint of the transfer window, the Camp Nou residents are close to completing the departures of Ilkay Gündogan (Manchester City) and Vitor Roque (Betis). They hope to do the same with Clément Lenglet, Ansu Fati & co. This will allow them to reduce the wage bill while filling the club’s coffers which are ringing hollow. Above all, the Catalans will be able to register certain elements in La Liga, like Dani Olmo. But president Joan Laporta does not intend to stop there.

Indeed, other recruits could set down their suitcases in Barcelona in the coming days. This, even if AS explains that Culés can no longer recruit even in the event of a sale. The Catalan press, however, explains that this is entirely possible. Last night, Relevo mentioned the track leading to the right-back of Almeria, Marc Pubill. Other Iberian media, however, indicated that Federico Chiesa was going to leave Juventus to go to Barcelona. The Italian would be willing to lower his salary while the Old Lady, for its part, is asking for 10 million euros.

A new competitor for PSG

The Chiesa case is therefore clearly progressing. But this Thursday, Sport pulls a new name out of the hat. The Spanish publication reveals that Jadon Sancho (24 years old) is also in the sights of sporting director Deco. The latter, who has been following the player for a while, believes that a transfer of the Englishman is out of reach of the Culés. On the other hand, a loan of the former BVB player interests him much more. However, it would be necessary to assume his large salary. Which would not be easy for Barça, which has financial worries. But what is certain is that the profile of the winger pleases.

The Catalans are not the only ones interested in his services. This week, The Athletic revealed that Chelsea, who have many attacking players, are on the case. Same thing for Juventus, who could accelerate after the departure of Chiesa. Finally, there is Paris Saint-Germain. The capital club has advanced its pawns on this file. The outlines of an agreement had even been found with the Englishman. But MU has shown itself to be greedy. With just over a week to go until the end of the transfer window, Sancho, who does not view the interest of the Spaniards with a bad eye, is spoiled for choice.
