More than five years after his last selection for the Blues against Andorra, a match during which he also scored (France won 4-0 in June 2019), Florian Thauvin (31 years old) still wants to dream of a future in the French team. Last month, the ex-Marseillais was also rewarded for his XXL start to the season with Udinese with a pre-call-up.

“It really gave me chills, it brought tears to my eyes,” he confides in Téléfoot, referring to his pre-convocation. Really touched because I’ve really suffered over the last few years, it’s been very difficult. At one point, I even think I almost hit rock bottom. Being preselected in the Blues is really proof that we are back in the “game”. Today, my dream is to wear the French team jersey. I had the chance to participate in the World Cup, but when you step back, and you no longer have the chance to be there, well it will hurt you, you dream of it, you have it again I want to be there, to participate and today yes, that’s what I dream of. »
