Dermot Gallagher looking at what happened during key moments in this eventful match at Molineux.

Newcastle United fighting back to take a very valuable three points.

Dermot Gallagher talking to Sky Sports about these Wolves 1 Newcastle 2 controversial incidents:

Incident:

The ball hits Wolves defender Craig Dawson’s arm but no penalty given by the referee, neither does VAR ask him to look at a replay of the incident.

Dermot Gallagher verdict:

Correct decision.

Dermot Gallagher explanation:

“If you watch, it comes off his (Craig Dawson’s) own body, bounces up, hits his (Dawson’s) arm.

“The arm is where you would expect it to be when making that challenge.

“That’s a far better interpretation of the rules; we’re in a far better position this year.”

Incident:

Jason Tindall is booked by the referee after picking a ball up and passing it to Joe Willock, so he can take a quick throw-in.

Dermot Gallagher verdict:

Correct decision.

Dermot Gallagher explanation:

“Only the players can get the players off the cones.

“Jason wanted to get it in play very quickly.

“What I would say, is he’s actually done this player (Joe Willock) a favour as it’s the most blatant foul throw ever (with one foot clearly off the ground when he throws it into play)!”
