The wrestling world has witnessed a lot of sexual allegations involving Vince McMahon lately, changing a lot in the management. However, this isn’t something new in the wrestling industry. A few allegations have been made in the past as well.

Back in 1992, Tom Cole, a former ring boy, accused Mel Phillips and Terry Garvin of having inappropriate sexual allegations with him. With Cole being underage, Vince McMahon decided to fire Phillips, before re-hiring him on a condition to stay away from kids.

While Cole committed suicide in 2021, he also accused Pat Patterson of sexual gestures in the past, reaching a settlement with WWE in the court. However, Tom Cole’s suicide has not buried the truth yet. His brother Lee Cole is on a mission to unfold the truth.

In a recent chat with former ring boy Shawn, who lived with Tom Cole in the same room, revealed that Phillips had two characters. One of them was a father figure which came out when they were out to work. However, his second character was unleashed when everybody was in the room and doors were locked.

“There are like two Mels. There is the Mel Phillips that is the ring announcer that took you to the shows, fed you, gave you money. Then there is the behind the scenes Mel that, once the hotel door room shuts, it’s a little different.”

While Phillips died back in 2012, the allegations on him are still intact and Lee Cole wants to bring out the truth. Stay connected to Ringside News to get regular updates on the story.
