Love is love, it doesn’t see age, caste, religion or gender. While we mostly see same-faith weddings happen across the globe, there are a few Bollywood celebs who fell in love with persons with different religious upbringings. Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan met for the first time in Delhi in 1984 and got married on October 25, 1991. The couple – who fell in love before SRK began his acting career, had both a traditional Nikah and Hindu wedding ceremony. The couple have been blessed with three kids since – son, Aryan Khan (born 1997), daughter, actress Suhana Khan (born 2000) and son, AbRam (born 2013).
Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been married twice and both have been interfaith marriages. His first marriage was to actress Amrita Singh in October 1991 and his second to actress Kareena Kapoor Khan on October 16, 2012, in a private ceremony in Bandra. The ‘Omkara’ has 4 kids – Sara Ali Khan (born in 1995) and Ibrahim Ali Khan (born in 2001) with Amrita, and Taimur Ali Khan (born in 2016) and Jehangir Ali Khan (born in 2021) with Kareena.
Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia D’Souza
One of the most adorable couples in Bollywood, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza were rumoured to be dating ever since they starred together in their debut film Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003). After years of being together, the duo tied the knot in February 2012. They had a Hindu wedding ceremony (according to Marathi marriage traditions) on February 3 and a Christian wedding in the church on February 4. They have since been blessed with two sons – Riaan (born November 25, 2014) and Rahyl (born June 1, 2016). These lovebirds regularly drop fun reels on social media to entertain their fans.
Sanjay Dutt- Dilnawaz Sheikh (Maanayata Dutt)
Maanayata Dutt (born Dilnawaz Sheikh) is Sanjay Dutt’s third wife. The duo tied the knot after dating for around two years. They had a Hindu ceremony on February 7, 2008, which courted controversy owing to her previous marriage. On 21 October 2010, the couple was blessed with twins, son Shahraan and daughter Iqra.

As per reports circulating, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal will be registering their marriage today, June 23. This evening, the couple will host a party at the South Mumbai eatery, Bastian to celebrate the occasion. According to several media reports, Aayush Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Salman Khan and Honey Singh will be in attendance. The cast of Heeramandi, Daisy Shah, Poonam Dhillon and many more celebs from the fraternity have also been invited to the celebration.
