Giovanni Vinci showed great potential when he debuted on Friday Night SmackDown last year as a singles competitor. However, his momentum just stopped, and he has been absent from WWE television for quite some time. During his absence, Vinci has now shared a cryptic tweet hinting at personal changes, leaving fans curious about his future direction.
The former Imperium member took to Twitter and dropped a cryptic tweet about resetting and rewriting himself while aiming to regain something, as he hinted at a change in character, saying, “Reset. Rewrite. Regain. #Gladiatore.”
Things immediately started going badly for him during the September 6 episode of WWE SmackDown where he lost to Apollo Crews. It didn’t really get any better for him on the September 20th episode where Crews lost to Crews again and that was the last time Vinci was seen on WWE television.
It is to be noted that Sean Ross Sapp reported WWE had no significant plans for Giovanni Vinci. While nothing is set in stone, Vinci’s cryptic tweet suggests he’s trying to make something of his WWE career. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether WWE will eventually have something major planned for Vinci so that he can make his television return, as fans feel he deserves better.
