Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has officially sworn in Ladi Oluwaloni as the chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area, following the passing of the immediate past chairman, Bolatito Shobowale.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday, Sanwo-Olu urged Oluwaloni to prioritise community development and align with the state government’s vision.
He expressed confidence in the new chairman’s ability to drive progress in the LCDA.
In his address, Oluwaloni expressed deep gratitude for the trust placed in him, stating, “I am profoundly grateful for this opportunity to serve and lead Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. Your Excellency, I assure you that I will uphold the tenets of good governance as outlined in the THEMES+ Agenda of your administration.”
Recognising the contributions of his predecessor, he pledged to build on past achievements and deliver tangible benefits to residents.
“With the support of Mr Governor and our great party, I will bring development closer to our communities. Just yesterday, I handed over an ambulance to our primary health centre, which had been without one since its establishment.
“In the next two weeks, we will also be inaugurating several roads in the council. These are just some of the things we are committed to delivering,” he said.
Oluwaloni further emphasised his commitment to improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment within the LCDA, ensuring that grassroots development remains a top priority.
