Gunther has a warning for Randy Orton in their match at Bash In Berlin.
In a rematch of the King of the Ring final match, Gunther defends his World Heavyweight Championship against The Viper in Germany. Being from Austria and having wrestled a lot in Germany, the Ring General will be a huge favorite going into that bout.
Gunther spoke on Twitter, backstage at a WWE Live Event in Europe. The World Heavyweight Champion thanked the crowd for recognizing his greatness. However, he added that his focus is on beating Randy Orton at Bash In Berlin.
He also noted that on Saturday, Randy Orton will finally meet his match. Gunther will walk out of Germany still as the World Heavyweight Champion after beating Randy Orton in Europe.
“I’m here right now in Europe, amongst people who recognize my greatness. Don’t get it confused— my focus is fully aimed to Saturday. Because as much as Summerslam went down in history as the day the Ring General saved this great sport, Bash in Berlin on Saturday will be remembered as the day that Randy Orton finally met his match. The Ring General will leave Berlin as the World Heavyweight Champion.”
Gunther Believes Randy Orton Has Wasted A Lot Of His Potential
Gunther recently spoke to Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald. He was asked about Randy Orton, to which Gunthe had some harsh words.
He called the 14-time WWE Champion’s career “undeniable”. However, he said that Orton wasted a lot of potential, and was destined to become the greatest of all time at one point.
“I think Randy’s career is undeniable,” Gunther began. “But on the other hand, we got to be honest here. He was destined to be the greatest of all time. And all the bad decisions he made in his career and the issues he had, he still is one of the greatest, but he wasted a lot of potential.
“And I’m not in the business of wasting potential. I think I overexceeded in a lot of ways and I think Randy is the opposite. I think even though he achieved a lot, I still think he underachieved for the talent he has.”
