Last year, John Cena announced that 2025 would be the final year he will compete as a professional wrestler. The John Cena retirement tour commenced on January 6th, at the Raw Netflix premiere. Considering the fact that this will be his final year, fans are yearning to see him wrestle some of his greatest rivals one last time.
At the same time, there are several wrestlers who are looking to get an opportunity to wrestle the Leader of the Cenation for the first time in their careers. One such star who is interested in wrestling Cena is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
While speaking to the Dailymail.uk, Gunther shared that he would definitely love to wrestle John Cena. He also mentioned that he would enjoy it even more if he could be the one to crush Cena’s dream of becoming a 17-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
“It’s the last chance to get in the ring with him, so if that ever becomes a possibility, I would definitely take that. John Cena is obviously one of the wrestlers, you can put him onto Mount Rushmore.
“If I get the chance I would definitely like to do that. Let’s see how it plays out. Maybe I can end up as his last chance to win a championship at some point in that year, and I can be the one that crushes all those dreams. That would be very enjoyable,” Gunther said.
