Halle Berry Books Female Lead In New Thriller 'Crime 101' Opposite Chris Hemsworth

Halle Berry is racking up role after role!

It was just announced on Wednesday (October 2) that the 58-year-old actress has landed a lead role in an upcoming thriller titled Crime 101, alongside Chris Hemsworth, Deadline reports.

The upcoming film is an adaptation of Don Winslow‘s short story Crime 101 and serves as a follow up to American Animals.

While plot details for the movie are currently being kept under wraps, the original short story “follows high-level jewel thefts taking place up and down the Pacific Coast that police have linked to Colombian cartels. Detective Lou Lubesnick has other ideas and he zeroes in on one perp, a thief looking for a final score.”

Bart Layton, who penned and directed American Animals, will also direct and write Crime 101, with contributions by Peter Straughan.

Chris Hemsworth will also reunite with Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo for the movie, which also lists another Marvel actor, Barry Keoghan, as part of the cast!

Filming is set to take place in November, with a 2025 theatrical release.

If you missed it, Halle and Chris both just had movies release in theaters on September 20th. Halle stars in Never Let Go, while Chris can be heard starring in the animated feature Transformers One!
