FC Barcelona’s summer transfer plans will be influenced by the expected arrival of Hansi Flick.

The German coach is strongly expected to replace Xavi Hernandez in the coming days, the latter having been fired by the Blaugrana club. Despite the suddenness of Xavi’s departure, FC Barcelona wants to quickly find a new coach, and Flick is the number one target.

As Flick’s arrival in Catalonia takes shape, the former Bayern Munich manager is said to be working to put in place a package of measures aimed at finding the ideal management team, as part of a more wide. Flick will also look to strengthen his Barcelona squad ahead of the 2024/25 season, despite a limited transfer budget.

Palacios targeted by Barça

Bayer Leverkusen winger Exequiel Palacios is a key option, on the back of a superb season, as part of the club’s first Bundesliga title in history.

The Argentina international is under contract at the BayArena until 2028 and Leverkusen will demand at least €40 million to open transfer negotiations for the 25-year-old winger.
