Harry Redknapp has picked his best 11 performers from the weekend’s action.
The Premier League team of the weekend that has most impressed him.
Included in his top 11 are three stand out players from Newcastle United’s thrashing of Tottenham.
Harry Redknapp explaining to BetVictor why he chose this Newcastle United trio amongst his Premier League team of the week:
Dean Henderson
Diego Carlos
Joachim Andersen
Tottenham barely had a sniff against Newcastle and Fabian Schar was brilliant yet again. He dominated that Spurs attack and even got himself a goal at the end to seal it. He goes under the radar but there aren’t many better than him in the league.
Sergio Reguilon
Jeremy Doku
Ryan Christie
Adam Wharton
Anthony Gordon was brilliant yet again for Newcastle this weekend, he caused that Spurs defence so many problems. He’s so quick, so direct and his end product is just getting better and better. I love watching this lad play – he’s a bit of a throwback player.
Matheus Cunha
My star man has to be Alexander Isak though, he was just world class against Spurs. Some of his touches were brilliant and he was a nightmare for that Spurs defence. I like Micky van de Ven but Isak gave him the runaround at the weekend, he could have scored more than the two he got. People have compared this lad to Thierry Henry and you can see those comparisons. He’s not quite at that level yet but he’s got the lot and there’s not many strikers in world football better than him.
