You might see them pop up on occasion but they often do their work behind the scenes. A prominent name has recently come back to WWE and made a surprise on-screen appearance, but that does not seem to be the case going forward.

William Regal returned to WWE last year in a front office role. Last month he made a cameo appearance on NXT, naming Ava as the show’s new General Manager. According to Fightful Select, Regal’s main job currently consists of taking notes on matches and going over them with the wrestlers to help them improve. At the moment, there is nothing to suggest that he will be appearing on NXT TV in a full time role, though one off appearances are a possibility.
