Madrid trembles, but gets through it! Real Madrid qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a thrilling return match against Leipzig on Wednesday evening at the Santiago Bernabéu.

In this crucial second leg of the Champions League round of 16 between Real Madrid and Leipzig, the atmosphere is charged with excitement and tension.

Following its victory in the first round (0-1) thanks to Brahim Diaz, the Madrid club began the match in 4-3-3, with Kroos in the sentry position and Bellingham at the forefront, supported by Vinicius Jr. and Valverde in attack.

A careful tactical duel

From the start of the match, the two teams measured each other with caution. Despite a few attempts, Leipzig failed to capitalize on an opportunity wasted by Openda. Casa Blanca dominates possession, but attacks are repelled by a solid defense.

The second act begins with Bellingham in charge for Real Madrid, put back in 4-2-3-1 by Ancelotti. The two teams exchange blows, with a dangerous free kick for the Germans and a save by Gulacsi on an attempt by Vinicius Jr.

Vinicius and Orban answer each other tit for tat

But it was ultimately Vinicius Jr. who opened the scoring for the Merengues in the 65th minute, on a pass from Bellingham. Leipzig did not take long to respond with a goal from Orban in the 68th minute, from a cross from Raum.

The match continues with chances on both sides, but neither team manages to find the net. The La Liga resident, under pressure from Leipzig, often finds himself on the defensive but holds on until the final whistle. Despite the draw (1-1), Real Madrid qualifies for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
